Brazilian or international platform

The question people type into search is usually "which one pays more". The useful answer is a different one: how much is left in your pocket after fee, currency conversion, waiting time and tax. This page lists what to compare, and we are not going to publish competitor figures we cannot verify.

The platform fee is not the only cut

Every platform withholds a percentage. But the advertised percentage is rarely the final cost.

On an international platform there are also: the FX spread when converting to Brazilian reais, the payout method fee, and the IOF financial transaction tax where it applies. Added together, these usually weigh more than the advertised fee difference.

On Secretto the fee is disclosed before any purchase, and you are paid in reais, with no conversion.

Time until the money arrives

Compare how long it takes from the subscriber payment until the balance lands in your account.

An international platform depends on its own payout cycle plus international transfer time. A local platform depends on the clearing of the method used, which with PIX is fast.

On Secretto funds become available after the payment method clears and the chargeback window closes.

Tax

Content income is taxable in Brazil, wherever it comes from. Being paid through a foreign platform exempts nobody, and it adds the complication of proving the source.

Being paid locally produces proof in reais, which simplifies the tax return.

This is not accounting advice. Talk to an accountant about your situation.

Support and rules in your language

When content is re-posted without authorization, or an account is suspended by mistake, the difference between sorting it out in your own language and filing a ticket in English across time zones is enormous.

A rule written in Portuguese, under Brazilian law and with venue at the consumer domicile, is far easier to enforce than terms in English under a foreign jurisdiction.

Frequently asked questions

Does a Brazilian platform pay more than OnlyFans?

It depends on the whole picture, not only the advertised fee. An international platform adds FX spread, payout fees and the IOF tax, which usually weigh more than the percentage difference. Compare the amount that actually reaches your account.

Do I have to pay tax on what I earn selling content?

Yes. Content income is taxable in Brazil whether the platform is domestic or foreign. Talk to an accountant.

Can I use more than one platform at the same time?

As far as Secretto is concerned, yes. We do not require exclusivity.
